Died on Active Service:

NICHOLSON -Killed in action in France, 5th

April, 1918, 2nd Lieutenant P. F. Percy, 57th

Battalion, beloved eldest son of Emily and

the late Francis Nicholson, Clarinda road,

Moonee Ponds, dearly loved twin brother of

Connie, (CMS, India*). Maggie, Wallace, Frank,

Leslie (on active service), Florrie (Mrs. Ingram,

Geelong), and Mabel, after two years and and

nine active service, aged 33 years.

One of the best. A loving son, kind brother;

true friend.

He has borne his cross, he has gained his crown,

Though he lies in a far-off grave;

And I think of his life, a duty done,

Manly, unselfish, and brave.
