3485 2 A/m  W. H. Thorburn, 4th Squad. Aust. Flying; Corps, sailed on the 5th October, 1918, and had been landed six weeks. He visited Edinburgh and went across the Forth to Fifeshire to see  relatives who received him with a great  welcome. In London he saw President Wilson's reception  Our young soldier then went to France.  On 12th January he was received in the 64th Clearing Station, suffering from pneumonia, and died on the 14th. 'The day's work was short but well done. We offer deepest sympathy to the  father and mother and other members of the family in their great sorrow.
