PRIVATE P. WILLIAMS.

 

Private Percy Williams, Army Medical Corps, killed in the Dardanelles was a Geelong youth and his mother resides in Western street, Geelong West. Williams, who learned his trade at Humble and Sons was 28 years of age and a married man with two children. He was for many years a bandsman with the Geelong City and Geelong Harbour Trust bands. He joined the forces last December from Essendon, where his wife and family are now living at 72 Wolseley street, Kensington.

Private P. Williams (killed) was a resident of Flemington. The Rev. Mr. Brewer, of St. George's, Royal Park, conveyed the sad message to the widow of deceased.

Private P. Williams, who has died of wounds at Gallipoli, was a member of the Essendon and Flemington [Rifle]club. Private F. Butler and Sergeant Knuckey, members of the same club, have been wounded. Captain Wells, of Ascot Vale, who died from wounds, was a well known assistant and instructor at rifle club prize meetings. Sergeant-Major Baker, Captain Bennett, Privates C. English, W. Steele, J. King, who have also been wounded, are members of the Thistle Club.
