Volunteers of Essendon and Flemington, 1914-1918
2307 Private Valentine Maidstone Robinson, 22 Bn. While serving in France he was
wounded in action and, due to the severity of his wounds, returned to Australia on
4 May 1917 and was medically discharged. He later re-enlisted for home service and
served with the 5th Australian General Hospital until his discharge on 24 may 1919.
