Meritorious Service Medal

For valuable work, energy and untiring devotion to duty throughout the period 25th February to 16th September 1918.  He has supervised the animals of his unit and of the 1st Line Transport of his Brigade in a most efficient manner.  The transport work, particularly during recent battle operations has been heavy, and it is due to the successful manner and ability of this NCO that animals have been kept in such good condition to cope with the heavy transport work.
Recommended by F H Francis, Lt Col, CO 5th Divisional Train.
