Essendon.
Several Anzacs belonging to the Essendon district were on Saturday, with their relatives, motored to the Moonee Ponds Town Hall, where addresses were delivered by the mayor (Councillor Fenton) and the returned Anzacs from the balcony, the proceedings being marked by much enthusiasm from a large, attendance of citizens.

Among the Anzacs who returned thanks for the welcome were Lance-Sergeant R K Ransom, Company Sergeant Major J E Moore, and Private J Walsh. The Anzacs and their relatives and others assembled in the mayoral room, and appropriate toasts were honoured.
