Flemington-Kensington Church News, May 1917

No 8187 - Sergt W G G Hall 1st Australian Light Horse [Field] Ambulance, AAMC.  Sergt Hall relinquished the comparative ease of a good Railway appointment, and, being an expert ambulance man, volunteered in that capacity.  After a considerable period of camp life in Egypt, he was seized by illness.  On becoming convalescent he was temporarily transferred to the Military Post Office at Cairo, where he has done some good work.  An observant onlooker on the social life of Egypt he is quick to see and point out the benefits of British rule in that country.
